The highly protective effect is one of the substantial characteristics. This is based on the stout-absorbing character of the foam core in combination with the durable, tough outer skin.
Subsequent covering of the moulded foam parts is omitted, because decorative surfaces arise as a result of transferring the tool structure to the outer skin of the foam part. Integral foam parts can also be equipped in sub ranges by special heat shields for highly stressed thermal areas.
Complex shapes, which are not obtainable using conventional procedures, often can be made without problems by integral foam. Additonally, carrier and fixations can be easily integrated. Coloration is also possible; this is achieved either
by colouring the foam system itself or by subsequent painting of the surface. |
